Subject: What does God see us as?
Ephesians 3:16-21
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
I pray this today with love always in Christ Jesus Name, Amen and Amen!
I think we should read this every morning.
I say that and then don’t do it but this is important.
Because there is sure to be, at least with me, a mocking or adding to faith by the enemy as my day gets going.
If I keep this nearby, there is no chance that can bother me.
Even a devotional warning about God being angry because we complain about what we have.
That’s true and is wrong, but once again, grace provides forgiveness and reminds us through the holy spirit that we have the song of songs!
So even though I have kind of lived Ecclesiastes, the very start of Song Of Songs brings me into an astounding description of God telling me something that is amazing.
First, the Saint/Bride talks about her life and appearance and then gets into praising her God. Her Lord. And she says her King has taken her into His chambers.
Then, the “friends” speak briefly in whatever they have to say.
Some sort of praise.
The Bride speaks briefly to the friends.
She tells them what she has done and how badly she has been treated.
The Saint speaks to the friends and says what she is, her way of life and hardships and her hard working that has caused her to not keep her relationship with God or others steady because of being looked down at.
But she defends her looks.
She still exalts her King.
She speaks to Him.
She asks where her Lord and shepherd tends His flock, because she does not want to be veiled besides everybody else.
She has just prayed a great prayer but she does not know it yet.
The friends tell her she is the fairest among women, and then they say she should go to where the tracks of the flock are laid and to work by taking care of others.
Many say that is said by her beloved but it cannot be because of what happens Next and If it is Him and not the friends, He is giving her a way to see only what is going on, not Him.
She has been pointed to a congregation.
But then, her prayer is answered, and her Lord speaks to her.
He does not talk about her past, looks or hardships.
He does not answer the friends at all.
He does not tell her where to go. He tells her where she is and will be.
He asks nothing of her other than to receive what he is saying about her to her. Love.
He tells the Bride what HE sees her as.
It is the start of an incredible conversation, praise and romance between a saint and the Lord.
As the relationship goes through different events, good and rough, they grow more close.
But there is never a time when the Lord (I say Lord, it says king)makes any mention of a blemish of any sort in her.
He sees her as perfect and more.
Look at it !!! see it because many religious people will tell you otherwise.
She responds as well.
The friends are eventually mentioned as thorns by her King ,and more happens in this book than meets the eye.
It is what we have, and who we have leading us and loving us.
It is who and what Israel had, have and will have again.
There is only grace in this book of the Hebrew old testament.
And if it is true for every one of us, we should keep it very close and alive in our lives and walk with our Lord and savior because it is how our Father sees us.
As he sees His Son, He sees us.
The Holy Spirit used Solomon to write this book.
Solomon wrote Ecclesiastes. The ultimate book of wisdom about life without God in our relationships and lives. He was given more wisdom and wealth than anyone who had lived. Even now I do not think anyone has topped his wealth or rule.
At least never in Israel.
But with all of what he was given, he was allowed to experience every possible fleshly event.
Every sin.
I do not believe there was a sin he did not commit or try.
But just like Adam and Eve and the fall of mankind, the restoration of Song Of Songs being given to him blesses every saint for eternity and shows them in words what God has restored to them.
