Unrighteous Mammon

Unrighteous Mammon

Text from Luke

And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

From sin in the garden to sin in our own hearts — money has become a means of trade. Before sin there would have been no need of money. After a new heaven and new earth there will be no need for money

Hence, unrighteous mammon. Mammon is unrighteous.

You may be blessed to have millions, or thousands, or hundreds – it is unrighteous mammon. HOW YOU use it determines so much. Jesus said Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

USE unrighteous mammon Righteously, for righteous Will of GOD purposes. Make friends of the mammon of unrighteousness whether your faith is to tithe or your faith is cheerful giving — we are stewards of the unrighteous mammon in our lives. When you, when we fail, DIE — these friends of Jesus Living In You utilizing unrighteous mammon will welcome you into everlasting habitations.

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

We learn that if we are unfaithful in that which is least then we will be unfaithful in much. Unrighteous mammon – the question being – not to look at others – rather to go in one’s own prayer closet and honestly ask the question — am I faithful in that which is least? I am willing to hear.

If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

Coming to some conclusions – if we are not faithful in unrighteous mammon – why would the Almighty commit to us true riches?

And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?

True Riches are not ours to give.

Practical Application

Pondering the USA – you may ponder the country you live in.

2 Chronicles 7:14 refers to my people humbling themselves, praying, seeking his face, and TURNING from our wicked ways. Then HE hears from heaven to forgive and heal our land.

As a journalist I have pondered the LACK of healing in the church, the ecclesia, the called-out ones in light of:

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;

they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

From a journalistic viewpoint I reach a tentative conclusion that the Ecclesia [church] in the USA is not faithful with unrighteous mammon. You and I, as members should examine our own hearts.

It is painfully obvious that the ecclesia, the church, the Body in the USA is lacking in True Riches. A more sober minded reading of 2 Chronicles 7:14 is in order.

As always, consult your apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers – I write as a journalist.

Sober Counsel

‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:

“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.  So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—

I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.

Therefore be zealous and repent.  Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
