Feedback from Israel on Church of Climate Change Rant

Concerning the Janitor’s reflections on climate change, IMHO, I have this to say:

According to Gen. 2:15: “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” Instead, what we have done is we have stripped and raped the land. We have abused the beauty and balance that G-d created, and in the last 200 years (I would say, since the Industrial Revolution), we have destroyed the earth. Yes, there are natural cycles of heat and cold but they take many centuries to manifest themselves. What humans have done is to speed up the process and exaggerate it by stripping the land of what it had to give us. We are paying the consequences of it now. We have no one to blame but ourselves. Plastic trash is everywhere, extreme temps and weather patterns never before recorded are more and more frequent. I think we need to repent, absolutely, but that isn’t just a “heart thing”. Repentance means to TURN BACK and not do it again. We need to apologize to G-d ON OUR KNEES for our abuse of the beauty that He gave us. Pure and simple.

Vegetarianism

In the beginning, mankind was called of Elohim [GOD] to be

Vegetarians:

Elohim said, “I have given you every plant with seeds on the face of the earth and every tree that has fruit with seeds. This will be your food.

.

Not only that, but the Animals were called to be vegetarians:

 I have given all green plants as food to every land animal, every bird in the sky, and every animal that crawls on the earth—every living, breathing animal.”

What happened? SIN. Sin brought Death to this world, both mankind and every living, breathing animal kind. If not for SIN, we would all be vegetarians.

After the great flood in Noah’s day, permission was granted to eat meat. Even some of the animals started eating meat. WHAT does the eating of meat remind us of? That Life is taken in order that we may live.

In Romans we study:

Creation was subjected to frustration but not by its own choice. The one who subjected it to frustration did so in the hope  that it would also be set free from slavery to decay in order to share the glorious freedom that the children of God will have. We know that all creation has been groaning with the pains of childbirth up to the present time. [To study the subject more read Romans 8]

The CREATION is subject to frustration and the SLAVERY TO DECAY.

.

We would do well to study Romans 8. And Romans 1. We are not called to WORSHIP the environment, to worship the Sun, Moon, Stars and even “mother” Earth. We are to bow the knee to the Creator, not the creation.

.

May we all do so before Decay takes us to the Judgment that awaits us.  May Acts 3:25 be YOUR FOOD before that Day.

Note:

 However, not only creation groans. We, who have the Spirit as the first of God’s gifts, also groan inwardly. We groan as we eagerly wait for our adoption, the freeing of our bodies from sin.
